International Day of the Girl Child 2025
Girls Act Kanya Kranti NAILED their International Day of the Girl Child celebration on October 5, 2025, at CC Community Centre, G.T. Road, Delhi! The theme, “Empower Girls, Protect Health,” resonated loud and clear with the 150 participants, including girls, boys, parents, ASHA workers, and representatives from NGOs. Esteemed Chief Guests Ashok Goel, MLA, Model Town Constituency; Sushil Jonty, Deputy Chairman, MCD Keshav Puram Zone; Poonam Gugnani, District Vice President of Mahila Morcha; Seema Naiyar, Mahila Morcha Mantri; and Anuradha, Entrepreneur and Trainer of Girls Act Kanya Kranti Skill Development Unit, graced the occasion.
The performances were on point – dance, street play, poems, and role plays that hit home. The fashion show, “My Style, My Choice,” was a total boss move, promoting self-expression and confidence. The Special Guests dropped knowledge bombs on equality and education, encouraging parents to level up their girls.
The swag was real – T-shirts, bags with goodies, and gifts for the performers. But the real MVP was the awareness rally in Kamla Nagar market, educating shopkeepers and the public about girl safety and empowerment. The rally was inaugurated by Renu Aggarwal, Municipal Councilor, Kamla Nagar, Delhi The mural painting at the mall entrance was the cherry on top. The message was clear: girls = strength, and they’ve got a squad that’s all about support!
