International Women’s Day 2025

International Women’s Day 2025 was a grand celebration at the Ek Jeevan Hamari Prerana (EJHP) office in Bharat Nagar, Delhi. The Girls Act-Kanya Kranti Leaders had been working tirelessly for three weeks to organize the event, and it was clear that their efforts had paid off. On March 8th, a vibrant gathering of 150 women, girls, and children came together to celebrate the spirit of womanhood.
The event was a showcase of the incredible talent of the women and girls involved. The performances included energetic dances, soulful solo songs, engaging role plays, and an action-packed song that got everyone on their feet. But the real showstopper was the tribute act, a heartfelt homage to 14 remarkable women who have broken barriers and achieved greatness in their respective fields. These women, leaders in their own right, have inspired countless others with their courage, resilience, and determination.
The tribute act was a powerful way to acknowledge the contributions of these women and celebrate their achievements, leaving the audience in awe. It was a reminder that women can achieve anything they set their minds to, and that their stories can inspire and uplift others. The performances were a testament to the talent and creativity of the women and girls involved, and a celebration of the power of women supporting women.
After the performances, a meaningful felicitation ceremony took place, honoring three young women who have demonstrated extraordinary strength and resilience in the face of adversity. These women have been supporting their families from a young age, often putting others’ needs before their own. Their stories are a testament to the power of determination and the human spirit, and they were recognized for their selflessness and courage. The event was a celebration of women’s empowerment, a tribute to the trailblazers, and a recognition of the unsung heroes.
After the International Women’s Day celebrations, the momentum continued with a collaborative get-together with Mitramela NGO in Ghaziabad. The event brought together women from the community to share personal stories, experiences, and activities. It was a space for connection, empathy, and support. As part of the initiative, menstrual hygiene products were distributed to women living in the area, promoting health, dignity, and empowerment. The collaborative effort aimed to foster a sense of community and solidarity among women.
