Skill Development & Vocational Trainings

Our team is empowering young girls through skill development trainings, catering to both graduates and dropouts. The goal is to equip them with new skills, enhancing their employability and opening doors to brighter futures. Three girls have taken the first step towards boosting their tech skills by joining a 3-month basic computer course, setting themselves up for a digital future. Another three girls have enrolled in a 6-month graphic design course, diving into tools like Photoshop, CorelDRAW, and Canva, and exploring illustration and AI tools.
We are committed to ensuring these girls get employment opportunities once they complete their courses. Additionally, Macrame jewelry and crosia/crochet classes are provided to girls who have dropped out and have an interest in these areas. What’s more, one of the Girls Act leaders who underwent Macrame training is now a trainer herself, paying forward it. Another girl from a marginalized group is a master trainer for Crosia, showcasing the power of peer-led learning.
Over 10 girls are engaged in these trainings, already starting to earn from their creations. Their products are being showcased at the IDGC event and Diwali melas in corporate companies and handicraft places, giving them a platform to display their skills. This initiative is not only building skills but also confidence, creativity, and financial independence. We’re making a tangible difference in our lives and the lives of other girls, and it’s just the beginning
