Our three training centers in Bharat Nagar, Jahangirpuri, and Burari empower, young girls and women through skill development training. During the 40-day training period, divided into two batches, participants have the opportunity to earn income by creating various products based on received orders. This hands-on experience allows us to assess their talents and skills in product-making. Upon completing the training, they are enrolled in our employment unit, where they begin earning a steady income by creating a variety of products, utilizing the skills they acquired during the training program. Our skill development programs have reached a significant milestone, with more than 300 women benefiting from our training initiatives.
As part of our commitment to menstrual health and hygiene, we proudly provide essential products to women and girls in need. Every month, we distribute sanitary napkins free of cost to over 400 beneficiaries, ensuring they have access to a fundamental necessity.
In addition to sanitary napkins, we also offer period panties and menstrual cups whenever available, providing alternatives for those who prefer them. Our goal is to empower women and girls to manage their menstruation with dignity and confidence.
We are grateful to be partnered with a network of generous donors who share our commitment to supporting women in need. Through their kindness and contributions, we receive essential food items that enable us to provide for the nutritional well-being of the women we serve.
We believe in empowering communities through knowledge and awareness. To achieve this, we conduct individual surveys with each household, engaging with family members and gathering valuable insights into their lives. Through these surveys, we raise awareness about our activities, schemes, and initiatives, and collect crucial data on income, education, and other vital requirements, helping us understand their needs and challenges.
We organize regular centre-based awareness meetings to educate and empower communities on various critical issues, including: HIV/AIDS Awareness, Menstrual Health and Hygiene, Domestic Violence Awareness, Legal Literacy, etc. During the empowerment sessions, a safe and supportive environment was created, encouraging the women to share their personal stories and experiences. As the women shared their stories, more issues came to light, and we were able to identify common challenges and patterns, develop a deeper understanding of their needs and requirements, provide more targeted support and recommendations, connect them with relevant resources and services.
One of the most significant obstacles we faced while working with women was their lack of education. Without basic literacy skills, it was challenging to communicate effectively and empower them to take control of their lives. To address this, we established literacy classes, which proved to be a game-changer. Through these classes, the women learned to read and write, enabling them to keep track of their income and expenses, document their products and sales. The literacy classes served as a foundation for their economic empowerment, enabling them to access better job opportunities, negotiate fair wages and prices make informed decisions about their businesses.
We believe in providing women with opportunities to break free from their daily routines and explore the world around them. Our outings are designed to be a unique blend of marketing exposure, sightseeing, and enjoyment. Many of the women we serve have never had the chance to visit historical places, cultural landmarks, or even local markets.
We come together to celebrate festivals with immense joy and enthusiasm, reviving the spirit of togetherness and happiness. Our celebrations are a perfect blend of tradition and nostalgia, bringing back fond memories of our childhood days in the villages. To show our appreciation and gratitude, we give gifts to everyone involved, making the occasion even more special and memorable. These gifts are a small token of our love and respect, symbolizing the spirit of giving and sharing that defines our community.
We collect gently used clothes from generous donors, ensuring they are in good condition, to support entire families in need. This support help them to feel Dignified and confident in their attire, equipped for daily life, work, special occasions and during times of crisis or financial struggle
